Children grow out of football boots long before they wear them out. A pair worn for one academy season often has most of its life left — which makes pre-owned the sensible way to keep a fast-growing footballer in the right boots without paying full retail every few months. Every pair on KISH is checked against its photos and graded for condition before it's listed, so you can judge a boot on its real wear, not a stock image.
Astro, firm ground or turf?
Most youth football in Dubai is played on 3G artificial turf, yet most boots sold in shops are firm ground (FG). For artificial pitches you want astro / artificial ground (AG) boots — more, shorter studs that spread the load and grip 3G properly. Check the sole before you buy: more, shorter rubber studs means AG or turf; fewer, longer plastic studs means FG. If you're not sure which your child needs, our field guide to astro vs firm ground boots in Dubai walks through it.
Getting the size right
Boots that are too small are the most common — and most missed — problem, because children rarely complain. Before buying pre-owned, it's worth knowing the signs a boot has been outgrown and how to measure your child's feet at home. Every KISH listing shows the UK size and a clear condition grade so there are no surprises.
Common questions
Are these astro (AG) or firm ground boots?
Both are listed — each boot's surface type and stud configuration is shown in its description and photos. For Dubai's mostly-3G pitches, look for astro / artificial ground (AG) boots: more, shorter rubber studs. Our astro vs firm ground guide explains how to tell them apart.
How are the boots checked?
Before any pair goes live, KISH reviews the seller's photos and the stated condition — studs, upper, heel and sole — against a condition grade (New with tags, Excellent, Good, Fair). Nothing lists until it's been reviewed.
What sizes are available?
Listings run from infant and junior through to youth and adult sizes — the band older kids and teens actually wear. Each listing shows the UK size; use our measuring guide to confirm your child's size first.
Can I sell my child's outgrown football boots?
Yes — listing is free and sellers keep 100% of the price. Add a few photos, set a price (our guide helps), and we review it before it goes live. Well-kept astro boots are especially in demand in Dubai.
